The night featured a Clash between Adrians Wall Sound System & Rogue Magnetic Sound System as a warm up for YT.

This recording is taken direct from the preamp/mixer so the sound is decent. There is some digital distortion at the start of the 1 fi 1 which I cant get rid of.

I have split the audio into 4 parts:

1 - Warm up - 30mins each Adrians Wall + Rogue Magnetic
2 - Rounds - 15min Rounds Adrians Wall + Rogue Magnetic
3 - CLASH - 1 fi 1 Adrians Wall + Rogue Magnetic
4 - YT Live show

Due to issues with the recording we are missing about 5 mins in the middle of YT's set and also the last round from Rogue Magnetic before the 1 fi 1.

Big up to everyone involved in the Australian Sound System scene and everyone who fulljoys this session. Big up YT every time, it was a great show.

The dance took place on Saturday the 5/5/2012 at a club called the Night Owl in the heart of Melbourne on the corner of Elizabeth street and Flinders Lane.

This is the audio from the dance. It was recorded using a Zoom H4N1 recorder using its room mics. I have split the audio into 7 parts each is the right length to fit onto a CD for those who burn CDs for their cars and such. There are a couple of breaks in the action when we had to change batteries in the recorder but you dont miss much. The session starts with Adrians Wall playing and misses the first couple of tunes from the dance but other than those first 2 this is the complete session.

We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported this dance and those who came in attendance to create a really special vibe at the session. Big ups to all the people working behind the scenes to make this event happen.

The next Basement session will take place on the 2/6/2012 and will feature Heartical Hifi alongside MC Boover Banton performing a showcase of original music.

This recording was done using a Zoom H1 and was recorded from the control tower. There has been some post processing done on the audio to bring its level up but it has been simple amplification.

It should be noted that there a series of pops and crackles in the first 2 parts of the recording. This is due to the sound level being too high on the recorder and the recorder clipping. I have decided to leave these in for those who want to have the entire recording.

The next Forward Ever dance will take place on 30 July 2011 and will feature Aba Shanti I & Adrians Wall.

There are 3 files for this dance. Part 1 is Adrians Wall Selection, Part 2 has Nick start at around the 45 Min Mark and then Part 3 starts with Nick and goes to 3 for 3 when Adrians Wall comes in with Satta Masagana.

Live performers on the Night include Trombone from Fyah Head and MC's Danny Dread and Jonny Dread from Addis Ababa Sound System.

The sesssion was recorded on a Zoom H1 from the control tower and due to us causing chunks of the ceiling to fall down we couldnt really turn it up too loud but the vibe of the dance does come through.

Live session recorded on 18th September 2010.

Recorded from the control tower using a Zoom H1 portable recorder and sound quality is pretty good. Bass comes through nice as do the voices but highs are a little quiet due to the recorder being off axis and the stack having very little horrizontal top dispersion due to the stacking arrangement, the tweeters where on there side as the ceiling in the venue is too low to stack full hight.
