The Kayanites is a group of 2 twin brothers living in the UK - Edward and Sean are both identical twin and vocalists from the UK. They have been singing and performing together for over ten years. Being twins they have very similar sounding vocals giving them a unique vocal sound with rich harmonies and powerful voices. That will be their first release on vinyl and surely not the last ! You will judge by yourself the works their have done on these 2 tracks. This second track is an adapted version of a tune released in 1984 called Sufferer by One A Way singer. Sammy Gold decided to make a UK version of the original track, 3 years after the release.
This new version is on a different riddim from Ras Muffet built in 1987 at Green House studio (Wolverhampton. UK).
Check this adapted version by Sammy Gold in a different style 'We A Sufferer' on a deep and heavy riddim with the dub version on the flip. Some murderer Digital tunes 25 years old !

This first reference on Green House is featuring an exclusive militant track by Sammy Gold entitled 'The System' , previously unreleased dubplate now accessible to all massives on 7'' format.
Check the amazing voice of Sammy Gold on this original Digital 80's riddim build and arranged by Ras Muffet in 1987 - The dub version is a digi masterpiece !

Sammy Gold used to buy records, hang out and voice tracks at Green House studio in 1987-1988 which was managed back in the days by Dread Lester (R.I.P.) with resident Ras Muffet at the mix !!
Green House studio was prolific during these years, based in Wolverhampton, a lot of Ras Muffet legendary dubplates emerged from this studio. Singers like Sammy Gold used to just bring their vibes and voice over Ras Muffet fresh riddims build for the occasion. There was no intention to release these tunes originally so we had to dig into the piles of tapes to find both vocals and dubs of these tunes and be able to put out 7'' singles with the dubs on the B side.

Introducing this month a new female singer directly from Paris (France): Sista Clarisse
For her first record release project, we decided to release two tracks she voiced for Roots Injection : 'Remember' a lover song (yes we support love:) and 'Come' recorded on ruff roots stepper riddims built by Ras Muffet at Roots Injection studio.
Listen to the tunes you will notice her talent and the great work she did on the vocal harmonies all backed by Ras Muffet at the mixing deck, the dubs are equivalently ruff !

This first reference RI07007 is the track 'Remember' this one was voiced on a roots riddim from Ras Muffet called 'Rolling Thunder'.

Sista Clarisse arrived in France from Congo (Africa) in her ninth year. She discovers reggae with Peter Tosh, and then ragga with the popular artists from Paris back in the 90's 'Saï Saï' and 'Puppa Leslie'. Mesmerized by this music, she quickly becomes an active member of the ragga scene, singing and toasting in all parisians sound systems. It’s in the early 90’s, in the turmoil of the sound systems flowing the capital city with a new musical style, the ragga muffin, that Clarisse reveals herself : She gets involved into music. Clarisse becomes Sista Clarisse. This woman believes in the Human and in Love. Humanist, she dips in her voice the diversity of emotions to sail between harmony and chaos. A crystal with multiple sides that she re-designs at every new creation to meet us with her sweet or bitter words, strengh and fragility. This young woman undertakes her musical style : hybrid, alchemy of mixed styles, rich of multiple influences.
