ROOTS-I-VORIES SOUND SYSTEM (FR - INAUGURATION DU SOUND SYSTEM !)
Depuis tout petit, Roots-I-Vories vibre au son du Reggae Roots et du Dub UK, trimballé de festival en festival par des parents passionnés. À 16 ans, il plonge dans la collection de vinyles, à 20, il mixe déjà pour plusieurs crews et enregistre ses premières dubplates avec des légendes comme Don Carlos, Horace Andy ou Queen Omega. Selecta, opérateur, MC, Mathis manie la musique comme un langage, construit ses sets comme des manifestes, où chaque track résonne d’un message clair : unité, respect, égalité. Armé d’une sélection affûtée, il viendra inauguré son propre Sound System pour la première fois à Montpellier... Un événement à vivre ! Massives, soyez prêts, Roots-I-Vories continue d’écrire son histoire, une basse après l’autre.

STEPPER ONE (France 🇫🇷)
Projet musical lancé il y a 10 ans, Stepper One combine productions originales et digging intensif. Ses sets vont des instrumentaux Roots des années 70 aux Steppers hypnotiques des années 90, enrichis de disques rares dénichées au fil de ses voyages. Avec des sorties sur Dig This Way, Vibescreator, Dub Vision, Shaolin Dub, Skank O clock et son propre label West Tradition, Stepper One propose une véritable excursion musicale, profonde et méditative.

BadLeaf : Selecteur, riddim maker et producteur, BadLeaf a l'habitude
de nous proposer une selection affutée, du roots au digital.
Originaire de Rouen, Batteur de formation, il découvre
le Reggae à l'adolescence en multipliant les Backing Band.
Influencé par les sound systems Rouennais comme Nyabin et Blackboard
Jungle sound system, il se lance alors dans la composition et découvre
la selection vinyle.
Installé à Montpellier depuis maintenant plus de 10 ans, il fonde son label
en 2019, bien décidé à faire partager son amour pour la musique
Jamaicaine.

Sly Abendigo : Cofondateur du label Abendigo Records, Sly propose des sets mêlant dubplates exclusives et sélections vinyles affûtées de style Roots Reggae et Dub engagé. Actif sur la scène sound system depuis 2009, il a partagé ses sélections dans plusieurs villes en France et à l’international, de Montpellier à Édimbourg jusqu’à la Guadeloupe.
À travers ses sélections comme à travers les productions de son label — déjà 20 vinyles pressés et distribués dans le monde — il défend un reggae authentique où le message reste au cœur de la musique.

Since the 1990s, Prince Malachi has been recognized for his innovation and impact as an artist, musician, producer, and songwriter by creating music that carries strong themes of unity and social consciousness. He has released several classic albums on labels such as Jah Warrior, Jet Star, and Blakamix, earning worldwide recognition for his powerful voice and messages of peace and unity.

The riddim for IT’S TIME was performed by Soul Rebel Band, a renowned live band from Grenoble known for their powerful stage performances, with the bass line played by Inyaki of Basque Dub Foundation. Mixing was handled by Darren Jamtone, and final mastering was completed by Pressure Mastering — perfectly tailored for sound systems and discerning selectors.
This 7" vinyl is aimed at vinyl collectors, selectors, and lovers of authentic roots reggae. The track IT’S TIME combines conscious lyrics and live instrumentation to deliver a timeless roots experience.

Please note: Soul Rebel Band has recently disbanded, making this release a valuable testament to a unique collaboration between dedicated musicians.

🎙️ ABKA KABA - BIOGRAPHY 🎶
The voice of the people, the Conscious rebel…
Abka Kaba is a fresh and dynamic artist out of Mandeville Jamaica who is making his presence felt on the world music scene, assuring him a future in the global reggae industry. This extraordinary singer/songwriter has been creating deeply meaningful and thought-provoking songs that capture the essence of an artist capable of achieving worldwide acclaim.
His musical roots were formed through listening and studying a wide variety of music from ska to jazz, reggae to R&B, Negroe Spirituals and gospel music. From an early age, Abka possessed the charisma and vocal power to reach an audience in a deeply soul-comforting way, leaving them wanting to hear more of this talented singer. His constant drive has allowed him to evolve from singing on sound systems to become the lead singer of the Conscious Rebelz, one of JA’s up and coming roots rock ensembles, as well as a solo artist. He has performed worldwide, from the streets of Mandeville to some of the largest stages in Jamaica and Europe.

🎙️ PRINCE ALLA - BIOGRAPHY 🎶
A true roots pioneer, Prince Alla is easily said to be one of many who helped pave the way and lay a foundation for Roots Reggae to be felt across the globe. He started his musical journey first with a group called “The Leaders” featuring Milton Henry and Roy Palmer. Their early recordings were that of a rocksteady vibe.

Encouraged by his long time bredren Bertram Brown, founder of Freedom Sounds, Prince Alla came back to the music scene ready to record what was true to him, righteous roots music. He went on to record some of his most fervent and impactful works with Freedom Sounds; “City Without Pity,” “Bucket Bottom” and “Stone” (mixed by the great King Tubby) to name a few. Prince Alla would often use the prolific Soul Syndicate Band to help carry out the sound vision he had for his music.
Prince Alla released a large number of albums which proved his sound could withstand any transition and test of time. In the 2000’s he did 2 album for Jah Warrior produced “More Love” and ‘Jah Glory” given an unique UK style of sound. Prince Alla has given the world solid and impactful works. These days, Prince Alla is still making new singles for labels worldwide and is known as amongst the best vocalists. He voiced already “Work it Out” and “Faith Can Move Mountains” and “Ghetto Hell” for Abendigo Records which has been released on 12″ vinyl record and digital download. He also appears in the Foundation Roots Showcase with a wonderful tune called “No Man Is An Island”. Much more to be announced soon.

Fresh new release from the Legendary Empress of Reggae : Sister Rasheda
This record is now available on vinyl 7 inch format and on digital format. It's official release is September 11th 2022 for the Ethiopian New year. It comes with a beautiful sleeve which has been painted by Huami. Sister Rasheda voiced this tune a year ago at Nick Manasseh Studio in London. She decided to write a song dedicated to the Coronation of His Impreial Majesty Haile Selassie I and Empress Menen.

The riddim has been built by King Alpha (Ras Joseph) who also did the mix.

This same riddim has also be voiced by Vernon Maytone and Prince Alla few years ago and has been released on vinyl 12" and digital format in 2019 (still available from our catalogue
