Live and studio project created in September 2009 by musicians Nicolò Tucci and Sabrina Ferro from Bologna (ITA), Dub Engine is part of the last generation of dub producers who know how to feed their work with various music genres.
While keeping the uniqueness of reggae/dub music unimpaired, they tinge their sound according to the contemporary punk and dubstep movement which surrounds them.
With a great complicity, the couple develops a powerful music, supported by winds, strings and percussions leaning on a massive sub bass, kick drum and wobbles synths.
Deeply influenced by UK & French new millenium dub era (Iration Steppas, Bush Chemists, Kanka, Dub Machinist, Dubkasm, Skream) they started to evolve their live show towards a new "psycho-dubstep" way, merging the hypnotic energy of dub music with militant-warrior style typical of dubstep music.
Revealed in 2010 with a 8-track release under free Creative Commons licence on "Irie On Air" net-label , they appeared on several european compilations before signing "Rude Boy" in 2011 on Dubatriation Records, their first 7" vinyl release.

Duo nato a Bologna (ITA) nel settembre del 2009, composto da Nicolò Tucci e Sabrina Ferro, Dub Engine fa parte di quella nuova generazione di dub producers che contamina la propria musica con diversi stili e generi.
Pur mantenendo l'indiscussa unicità della musica reggae/dub, Dub Engine ridipingono i propri suoni influenzati dalla scena punk e dubstep che li circonda.
Con grande complicità miscelano archi, fiati e percussioni supportati da profonde linee di basso, kick drum e wobble synths.
Profondamente influenzati dalla scena dub inglese e francese del nuovo millennio (Iration Steppas, Bush Chemists, Kanka, Dub Machinist, Dubkasm, Skream), uniscono nel live-set l'energia ipnotica della musica dub con lo stile militant-warrior della musica dubstep.
Rilasciano nel 2010 la loro prima net-release di 8 tracce per "Irie On Air" net-label sotto licenza gratuita Creative Commons, ed in seguito partecipano a diverse compilations europee prima di pubblicare nel 2011 "Rude Boy" il loro primo 7" in vinile per Dubatriation Records, label con sede a Dijon(FR).
