Akashic Records is a roots reggae & dub record label based in Atlanta, GA. The label began in 2014 with the mission of spreading Rastafari teachings & vibrations to the world through reggae music. Mike B. runs the label who has been a reggae collector, selector & activist for over 25 years.
Mike has been a publisher & distributor of Rastafari literature since 1994. He is actively involved in social and educational programs like Wisemind Publications & the Word Sound Power Collective to promote Rastafari culture and well-being. His work promoting reggae music & events has naturally evolved into Akashic Records.
Some of the artists who have contributed to the label are Fred Locks, Sizzla, Oku Onuora, Yasus Afari, Fikir Amlak, King Alpha, Tenastelin, Brizion, Ras Amlak, Ras Muffet, Idren Natural and Ras Teo.

WORD SOUND POWER COLLECTIVE - NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION
Word Sound Power Collective
As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, our mission is to organize and mobilize the Rastafari community and other like-minded peoples to provide support to Rastafari Elders at home and abroad. This support includes providing for basic needs like food, clothes and shelter as well as needs of a medical nature. The ultimate goal is to ensure that the hungry be fed, the naked clothed, the sick nourished, the aged protected and the infants cared for.
Since 2006, over $65,000 dollars have been raised and distributed to benefit Rastafari Elder’s Welfare. This includes medical care, daily needs and new houses built from the ground up. Funds have been collected around the globe to assist and aid Rastafari Elders in need.
The Collective began as a grassroots effort among a small group and has grown to serve Rastafari Elders in communities in Jamaica, the United States and Ethiopia. The Collective works with Elder Advisors on the ground to determine those in need. We strive to identify both female and male Elders of the Rastafari faith. The Collective has completed over 250 fundraising projects in the past 14+ years.

FASIMBAS AFRIKAN VANGUARD ROOTS DUBWIZE SOUND SYSTEM:
It is all about Black unity, pride in Africa, Black history, the importance of knowledge of self, Black love, self-respect, Pan-Africanism, Black empowerment.
Fasimbas started his musical career in 1986 in Grenoble, France with the creation of SOUL SYNDICATE SOUND SYSTEM alongside Jahlow aka Ameth DIALLO. Jahlow was the owner of Dubplate Café in this region too, an historical and cultural place. SOUL SYNDICATE was not only a musical establishment but also a Panafrican movement. At this time Fasimbas was in contact with Jah Shaka and was the first to make his promotion in this region of France
Then Fasimbas moved to Senegal, Ehiopia and Liberia. He is now based in Baltimore where he managed his sound system and organise cultural sound system session. He is close to talented artists and labels like BABA RAS MARCUS “RASTAFARI ELDER”, IWARRIAH, SISTA LEXY, KING ALPHA, AKASHIC RECORDS and ROOTS HITEK.
Fasimbas message : “I think that the quality that I have come to respect the most in any human being is the demand for dignity. The person that demands that he or she be respected, no matter their status in society, I salute. The person that does not respect themselves or others, or whose respect is based on the accumulation of material things, the person that says 'I am just all about me' and justifies their every action or inaction has a very low place in my world.
