Wildfiyah accepted the pace and maintained it with some exclusive king step ridims then ending round by taking the pace up a notch with exclusive from Sis Zar ridim from mexico then wildfiyahs own ridm in honour of Marcus Garvey.

Dance just went from strength to strength......

Wildfiyah ended the dance with an exclusive special hailing up some of the known sounds in USA like Black Redemption, Fasimbas, Black heart warrior.... on a new to all ears ridm.

Enouth talk though .... cant tell you everything....... Tune in

Satan tried to disrupt the dance a few times by some drunkards acting foolishly..... but that was quickly flushed out by Jah muzik still.

As for quality...it was not our best due to incorrect setting on recorder...but enough to maintain a serous listening vibe still.

Four sounds were in attendance this year. Wildfyah Rootikal had just returned back to the states after spending most of the year in Bermuda. APS Sound drove up from Los Angeles with the powerful sound in tow, and Blackheart Warriors and Brizion were there to give their San Diego home crowd another dose of spiritual edification through the powers of roots reggae music.

A full year of preparations came to a head around 8:00 pm. Blackheart Warriors and APS had both strung up and tested their sounds earlier in the night. Orthodox ReuBen of Blackheart Warriors opened the event by greeting the crowd – both San Diego regulars, and others who had travelled far to attend this event. When Brizion started his first set, Prince Zahir announced to the crowd that they were about to witness a live mixing session. The crowd went wild and people gathered around the control tower and the dance floor filled up!

All through the night the sounds played in rotation. The first few rounds were long and consisted of older tunes – as the night progressed the rounds got shorter and the music got newer, culminating in the 1 for 1 finale (1 song and 1 dub per sound) at the end of the night. The music went until 2:30 am – the vibes were high and strong and all sounds played well. The sounds were well tuned and powerful. The music and dubplate selection was purposeful.


The crowd consisted of both seasoned reggae enthusiasts and newer fans who with lots of questions about the music and the culture. It was good to connect with old and new friends. There was a feeling of unity and upliftment in the dance.
