I Neurologici (The Neurologics) expérimentent les prémices du sound system italien dès 1995 avec la présentation d’une sono 100% artisanale au RAS (Real Authentic Sound – italian reggae sound system rally). L’année suivante, le collectif entreprend l’enregistrement d’un album dub instrumental autoproduit intitulé « I Neurologici » qui sortira en 1999. Après 10 ans de silence, ils reviennent en 2009 avec l’album « In Dub Vol.2 ». Dans le même temps débute leur étroite collaboration avec le sound system romain Real Rock HiFi qui prendra en charge la sortie de nouvelles productions et leur retour sur scène.

I Neurologici (The Neurologics) is a dub collective formed in 1995 in Rome, Italy. the collective presented a sound system in 1995 during the RAS (Real Authentic Sound - Italian Reggae Sound System rally) , handcrafted from boxes to preamp and selecting Roots & Dub. In 1996 started to recording instrumental dub that will develop in 10 tracks on the 1999 Album entitled I Neurologici, the album was totally self-produced and pressed on vinyl in 500 copies. After some quiet years, the collective returned in 2009 releasing a digital-dub album, entitled In Dub Vol.2, featured the addition of traditional instruments from Italy and North Africa, played by Alessandro Mazziotti, one of the original members of the collective. The album was recorded, mixed and distribuited via Free Download by the Strato Dischi Not Label studios, the musical container of Fabio Pieri, the producer and main engineer of I Neurologici.
In the same year there's the encounter with the roman sound system Real Rock Hi-Fi, and together started a 10 years collaboration, in which they were made production on 7" vinyl under the Real Rock label and live dub set across Italy. In these 10 years the binomial started to link up with singers and players of instruments from all over the world, from Brasil to Kenya passing through London and Napoli, artists like Laylah Arruda, Youthman, Zion Train, Mandlion, Jobba, Fred Gomes, Ras Mowray and many others. In 2019 the collective started to produce the new Lp what will be released the next year and some of the new dubs will be performed in the live dub set.

For spreading the message of Roots Reggae and the concept of self-building with the youth, we created sound systems in csoa (community center) in Rome and a community project in Ghana, Africa.
